Nursery became eco warriors last week and decided to do something helpful for the animals in our area. We made bird feeders and a bug hotel. Not only have we helped the environment but we have also had a lot of fun!
.
This week we have been learning about Climate Change.
As part of a whole school challenge, we made bird feeders and bug hotels to look after living things in our environment.
EYFS had a fantastic football day! We loved dancing along to the football songs and practised our shooting skills.
We hope this video brings England some good luck tonight!
As part of our ‘Minibeast’ adventures, Reception have been on a bug hunt around school. We saw lots of ants, bees and spiders but we couldn’t find any butterflies!
Can you go on your own bug hunt and let us know what you find?
We are so proud of our minibeast paintings!
Do you have a favourite minibeast?
EYFS have had a super Sports Day today. We took part in lots of different events using our balancing, traveling and moving skills.
The staff were impressed with how supportive the children were cheering everyone on and encouraging all the teams to do well. Their behaviour was superb!
We even enjoyed a little treat to cool down after a very tiring day.
This week, Nursery have been looking at the story of “Little Red Riding Hood”. Little Red Riding Hood was on her way to deliver a basket of treats for her Grandma when she discovered the wolf in disguise. This made us think about what we would put in our baskets for a poorly Grandma.
You can read our lists below.
What would you put in your basket?
Nursery 2 (3-4 year olds)
Nursery 1 (3 year olds)
Reception carried out a brilliant challenge today. To end our Hansel and Gretel work, we taste tested some yummy sweets and used amazing adjectives to describe them too. Then, we recorded our findings and discussed which ones were our favourites. The most popular were the white chocolate buttons!
What are your favourite sweets?
