French Club is led by Ashleigh, a qualified French, German and Spanish teacher who has taught languages all the way from Early Years up to A level. French Club takes place on a Wednesday from 3.30pm-4.30pm. Every week we learn French through games, songs, stories and crafts, based on a different theme each week. The club is for all children from reception age up to Year 6. If you would like to join us, you can book via our website on https://www.lingotot.com/

To help us practise our new vocabulary about our routine, we played a silly sentence dice game. The first roll told us what time it was, the second was our action and the third was our adverb.
We had some funny sentences such as “A Minuit, je mange mon petit déjeuner vite” which translates to “At midnight, I eat my breakfast quickly”
Year 5 were “ très bon” learning and performing a song all about our daily routine
Bonjour Marsden!
Year 5 have had a fabulous French day starting off with pain au chocolat and croissants and carried out a flag investigation in the morning. In the afternoon, we practised some simple French greetings, constructed our own Eiffel towers and finished our day off with a can can!
In Year 1 we enjoyed some French croissants or a pain au chocolat together with fresh juice as we found out about France and the language they speak there. We learned some French greetings and sang a few French songs. We even pretended we were in France listening to French music on a balcony looking at the Eiffel Tower when we had our snack. It was fantastic!
We are looking forward to learning more French throughout the year.
We are delighted to have been awarded a Foundation level of the British
Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of our work to bring
