EYFS had a lovely visit from the hand washing and oral hygiene nurses. They showed us how to correctly brush our teeth and wash our hands to protect us from invisible germs. It was a lovely afternoon and we have all been singing our hand washing song when washing our hands.
A huge well done to everyone for their kind generosity today. Our grand total was £427.15 which we will donate to Children in Need. The highest amount ever from Marsden! The children had a brilliant day and completed Pudsey activities in class and took part in Joe Wick’s ‘Big Move Event’
Well done everyone!
This year, Key Stage One and Year Three joined together for our winter production, ‘Eddie the Penguin Saves the World!’ The children were fantastic and worked so hard to learn their lines, songs and dance routines.
A special thank you to parents for the amazing costumes.
Well done everyone!
Well done to everyone who was nominated for our ‘Citizenship Award’.

Our Key Stage Two nominees were: Aidan, Georgie, Cerys and Kyle.
The winners were: Erin and Cerys. Well done!
Well done to everyone who met at Whitburn Windmill this morning to join us on our ‘Histrionics Walk to School’. We had a fantastic time and we were so impressed by how many of you were wearing a hat to celebrate ‘Hats through the Ages, Celebrating 1000 Years of Walking’. Thank you to Schools Go Smarter and Baskerville Oldface from Histrionics for making the morning an unforgettable experience. We were also very proud to receive the Bronze Award for our efforts, and we can’t wait to achieve our Silver and Gold Awards in the future!
Thank you to our fabulous kitchen staff who provided the children and staff with an amazing Christmas dinner. The hall was full of festive cheer as we sang Christmas songs, enjoyed our dinners and pulled Christmas crackers together.
Our very first toy fair was a great success.
Everybody was so generous with both the donations they made, as well as the money they brought to spend. We raised £424.00 which was amazing in just one afternoon. The children all loved having the chance to choose the toys they wanted and the Year 6 children demonstrated their skills behind the stalls. A big thank you to the parents who helped, we really appreciate the time you gave up.
We are already making plans for the summer fair – bigger and better!
