EYFS have enjoyed read the tale of “The Rainbow Fish” and we loved his shiny, colourful scales. We made a list of all the colours we could see.
The EYFS staff were super impressed with their lovely writing and mark marking!

The EYFS children (and staff) have had so much fun this week exploring and learning. They have loved sharing their Parent Partnership homework with their friends and we now know lots about each other.
Our story of the week has been the Colour Monster and we have talked about when we feel happy or sad. We even made our own Colour Monsters using collage.
Here are some pictures of all the fun we have had!
Nursery have thoroughly enjoyed their first day at school!
We have made new friends, explored the classroom and smiled all day 😀
We have had another fantastic morning meeting the rest of our new Reception friends. We explored the indoor and outside learning environments and had lots of fun!
We can’t wait to see everyone on Monday morning!
Today we were very excited to welcome half of our Reception children into school. We had a brilliant morning exploring our learning environment and making lots of friends too!
We can’t wait to meet the rest of our friends tomorrow!
The EYFS staff wanted to share this beautiful video to show just how much our amazing children have grown this year. We couldn’t be prouder of them.
On behalf of the staff, we would like to say thank you to children and families for the thoughtful cards, gifts and messages.
EYFS children were very upset that the Year 6 children weren’t able to have a traditional end of year celebration. So they put their thinking caps on and teamed up together to make a card and keepsake for every child in Y6.
We hope you love your bags and we wish you well in your new school.
We will miss you! Love EYFS x
We can finally talk about the special surprise we have been preparing for Miss Edwards!
Today was Wedding Wednesday! We held our own pretend wedding with the very beautiful Miss Edwards as our bride. The children were guests, bridesmaids, best men, vicars, father of the bride and we even had our own mini groom!
It has been such a special day, complete with dancing, games and food. A big thank you to the Reception parents who organised a special gift for the bride.
Now the countdown begins until the real wedding and Miss Edwards becomes Mrs Reed!!! 🥳
Today EYFS gathered together to celebrate achievements and present some special awards. Below are those children who were selected for their Positive Behaviour, Progress or Pride and Presentation.
Everyone at Marsden are so proud of them:
Pride and Presentation:

Finally a special mention goes to Willow in Reception as last night she donated her lovely long locks to The Princess Trust. You will have made so many girls happy with your caring gesture!
WELL DONE
What a splash-tastic day we have had! Every single child and adult has smiled non-stop all day being splashed with water, hooking ducks and getting back to having fun together!
