At science club this week Year 3 and 4 have been learning about acids and alkalines. The children had to test different liquids to see if they changed colour. If the liquid changed to red it was an acid, if it went green it was neutral and if it went purple it was an alkaline.
We had a great time playing investigating liquids and are looking forward to next week!
Hope you have all had a great Christmas and New Year.
School reopens on WEDNESDAY 4th January 2017.
Looking forward to hearing all about your festivities.
Mrs Caroline Marshall
What a perfect way to end this brilliant term!
Once again the children showed off their amazing singing talents in our annual carol concert. There was an amazing turn out from all the parents and familiar.
On behalf of all the staff at Marsden, we wish you a peaceful Christmas and a happy new year.
This year we have started accessing Whitburn Church of England Academy to deliver some of our Music curriculum and also develop our instrument tuition. To develop this link even further, we welcomed members of the band into our school to hear some amazing instruments and help to get ready for Christmas.
I am sure you will agree, they filled our hall with some amazing music and have definitely got many children thinking about taking up an instrument next term.

This term, so many of our children have been part of a singing experience. Mr O’Brien has enjoyed preparing our KS1 children for their performance at Church and as part of our carol concert. The junior choir have been spreading the festive spread among the local community as well as the school.
Well done to all of the children who have taken part and a big thank you to Mr O’Brien
