Before we broke up for Half Term, EYFS asked the children to work with parents to create their own Chinese Dragon! They could choose how they wanted to represent the dragon and we were overwhelmed by the response. Aren’t they fantastic?!
Good job Nursery and Reception (and Parents)!
We have had a fantastic time celebrating Chinese New Year.
Foundation Stage have been learning all about the Chinese New Year Race.
Key Stage One were able to take part in a special calligraphy lesson and Key Stage Two found out all about Chinese language.
Thank you Iris for helping us to learn about Chinese traditions and culture. We have had lots of fun!
Some very tired faces are on their way home.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Well, what can I say? Year Four experienced an utterly amazing trip on Tuesday! We became scientists, using Bunsen burners to explore evaporation and condensation, went on a 4D Polar Express ride, watched a show in the planetarium and even found out lots about animal dung!!! To top off our amazing day, we went ice skating on the outdoor rink! Some of us were more successful than others! What a day!
Yesterday was full of new activities and adventures meaning that everyone slept until their alarm call at 7am! I wonder what today will hold?
All of the groups are back at the centre and enjoying a hot chocolate.
It has been a successful day with some great challenges for the children – climbing, stream walking and scree jumping.
