This half term we have been very lucky to offer a Mandarin after school club, organised and delivered by Iris. The children have had lots of fun learning about Mandarin and I’m sure that you will be amazed by the children’s work.
When asked about the after school club, Autumn said that is was “very interesting” and Ellie said that it was “fun to learn a different language”.
Thank you so much for providing the children with this fantastic opportunity, Iris!
We have been learning about Egyptian food in Year Three and today we were able to create an Egyptian meal. We made Egyptian flatbreads with an Egyptian salad. We also tried olives, dates, figs, plums and radishes.
In Year 1 we are learning about how humans change as they grow.
We had a fantastic afternoon looking at how we have changed!
Year 4 had a great time tasting their own delicious cookery.
They researched Italian food, created their own tomato based sauce with John in the hall and finally feasted on the mouth watering dishes.
Check out the Nursery Morning children performing “Music, music, music” with our tapping sticks.
To follow on from our school harvest festival, the children in Year 2 explored the Jewish Sukkot festival and we made some Challah bread that is eaten during Sukkot.
It was delicious.
What brilliant bakers we are!
Year 2 have been reading ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ and ‘The Day the Crayons Came back’. We have loved these stories and created some wonderful work from it. We have made our own rainbow crayons, wrote letters and postcards, created 3D crayons and melted crayons to create colourful art.
