Today, we celebrated International School Dinners Week by having a special space themed lunch. Each class contributed some art work or models to help decorate the hall.
Everyone had an “out of this world” time!

As part of Anti-Bullying week we have been celebrating our individuality by wearing odd socks. We have been learning to respect each other as we are all different and that is what makes us unique!
In Year 2 we have new creatures watching us!
The children have been exploring 2D shapes and their properties, in class, and they have each created their own shape monster.
We think they are great.
The Year 2 children have shown their creative writing skills, this week, creating amazing descriptive poems.
What talented writers they are!
The Buddies continue to work with children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 at lunchtimes to support their play skills. Year 6 Buddies have worked hard over the last year and have shown just how much they care. We now have new recruits from Year 5 who are keen to help younger children.
What a great team they are!
After a fantastic assembly, Year Six visited the cenotaph in Whitburn to lay painted stones to commemorate the fallen soldiers in WW1 and WW2.
Today we came together as a school to commemorate 100 years since World War 1 ended. Each class created their own poppy display and worked together to create a poppy wall which is displayed outside of school.
Thank you to Year 6 and Year 5 for a very moving assembly reminding us of the importance of Remembrance Sunday.
