Welcome to our school website. At Marsden Primary School we are very proud of the work we do and hope you will experience a flavour of this as you browse our site.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of skilled professionals working at our school who understand the importance of putting the children at the heart of each learning experience. Our school vision is summed up in the phrase ‘Everyone Cares, Everyone Matters’ and when you visit our school, you will see this vision lived out by every individual.
Marsden Primary School welcomed comments from recent OFSTED inspectors, who noticed that ‘The care and support provided by staff at the school is of the highest quality.’
We look forward to welcoming you to our school in the near future so you can experience this quality first hand!
Mrs Caroline Marshall
Year 6 were very excited today as they all received their leaver hoodies.
We think they look fantastic!
Year 6 had a fantastic visit to High Force to see the features of a river as part of their geography learning this term.
Year 6 were very keen to ‘taste’ a selection of new books at our book tasting event.
It was great to see everyone engrossed in their reading and sharing their thoughts about the books.
Year 5 had a very interesting visit from Mr Latimer linked to our class text ‘The Explorer’. Mr Latimer talked to us about fishing and we got to see some fish and crabs, that he’d caught that day, up close. He even demonstrated how to fillet a mackerel!
It was fantastic!
Thank you, Mr Latimer
The Buddies continue to work with children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 at lunchtimes to support their play skills. Year 6 Buddies have worked hard over the last year and have shown just how much they care. We now have new recruits from Year 5 who are keen to help younger children.
What a great team they are!
