Here are our finished masterpieces!
Year 4 had a lovely afternoon trying hockey for the first time.

Year One have loved reading Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. Today we used puppets to act out the story. We were amazing and had brilliant expression.
Well Done Year 1!
Today, EYFS had a roarsome day at the Hancock Museum! We explored fossils, saw dinosaur skeletons and even touched some real dinosaur poo!!!
What was your favourite part of the day?
Shhh, geniuses at work.
Stay tuned next week to see the finished masterpieces!
To finish our work on ‘The Little Red Hen’, Foundation Stage have been baking bread. We talked about the ingredients, made the dough, baked the bread in the kitchen and then we got to enjoy our hard work!
‘We loved eating our bread!’
Today saw yet another educational visit for Year Six – this time to the Beacon of Light for the Bring it On event. The event featured displays from many of the leading companies that specialise in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), giving our children a fantastic insight into what it would be like to have a career in one of these industries.
.
Yesterday, Year 5 took part in South Tyneside’s hockey tournament. All of the children showed excellent teamwork and superb positive attitudes throughout the morning. Even though we didn’t win, we had great fun and enjoyed learning new hockey skills.
Today, Year Six visited Nissan to take part in their Monozukuri Caravan workshop. The children took part in lots of hands-on activities to learn about car manufacturing and all had roles in a Lego production line. We also visited the workshop to watch the robots in action and one had a spooky message for Lucy (see photos). Our fantastic day was topped off with delicious double chocolate cookies and bags of goodies to take away! Congratulations to India and Emily, who were runners-up in the art competition, and to Oscar S who was the overall winner!
