What an amazing day Y4 had at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle.
When we arrived, we had an extra special treat – a ride on the Red Arrows Flight Simulator. It was definitely one of the highlights of the day! We got to experience what it would be like to sit in the cockpit of the Red Arrow jet and saw just how close the planes get to one another. There were lots of screams of enjoyment!
Once everyone had landed back on the ground, we explored the different floors of the museum. There is so much to see but we really enjoyed the interactive science maze where we were able to explore gravity and forces, electricity, sound and optics through lots of experiments and games.
After lunch, our workshop leader took us to the educational room where we worked in teams to create different circuits. Our teachers were very impressed with our knowledge, especially as the challenges became harder and harder. Finally, we all got to make our very own torch to take home using the circuit we had created. The photos show just how much fun we had!
Year 6 had an amazing end to their residential week by visiting Simonside Outdoor Adventure Centre. We tried Archery, Orienteering and Indoor Climbing. Everybody tried all of the activities and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
Many happy returns to Mrs Lawson who was introduced to our special birthday assembly!
Year 3 had an incredible Stone Age Day.
They rocked up to school looking fabulous in their Stone Age attire.
The classroom was transformed into a dark cave with its own fire. Children had the opportunity to try a range of Stone Age activities from making Stone Age Stew to crafting their own jewellery and tools. They even had the chance to step into the shoes of an archaeologist by handling Stone Age artefacts from The Discovery Museum in Newcastle. How exciting!

As part of our music topic, Y4 have been learning to Beatbox. What do you think of our performance?
Today, Year 6 visited Nissan to find out all about car manufacturing and what it takes to be an car engineer or production worker. We used Lego to practise car assembly, visited the resident robot (who made Evie and Lucas pictures!) and then tested our skills to see if we could work at Nissan.
I’m sure Year 6 will agree that we have had an amazing experience and that the juice and cookies treat was particularly delicious! Congratulations to the following for winning the design a logo competition :
Runners up: Caleb and Fed
Winners: Jess and Izzy

Year 4 had a wonderful time at the winter warmer session. They loved practising their fire lighting skills!
A great time was had by all!
Year 5 had a perfect party to end the term. We enjoyed a quiz in class and had some lovely party food. Then we played our favourite games in the hall and we had surprise gifts waiting for us when we went back to class.
