Year 1, 2 and 3 performed fantastically in their Christmas production ‘The Late Angel.’ All of their teachers were so proud of them all.

Wow! What a performance our Y4, 5 and 6 children put on today! They had so many lines and songs to learn but they were just amazing. Marsden has so much talent!
Here are our completed model Anderson shelters! The children have carefully planned their design, tested out materials and used cutting, joining and reinforcing techniques to ensure that their shelters are robust and water-resistant. They look fantastic!
Year 3 were given the challenge of making a moving muscle in Science today. We examined how muscles contract and relax when the arm moves and loved the challenge of making our own working arm muscles.
Year 6 have been working hard this week to make wooden frames to form the base of their model Anderson shelters. In this lesson, we focused on measuring, cutting and joining techniques. Tomorrow, we will work on bringing our deigns to life and putting together the final touches!

Year 6 really made the effort with their party outfits today! They all looked fantastic and we had a great time competing in a class quiz, eating party food and playing lots of traditional party games!
Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Winter Warmer’ craft session in school today. They made beautiful Christmas tree decorations and LOVED lighting their own fires to toast delicious marshmallows.
This term our history topic is Ancient Egypt and we are loving learning all there is to know about the Egyptians. In design and technology lessons year 3 looked at Egyptian jewellery designs and created an Egyptian necklace of their own.
Y3, Y6 and the choir had an amazing afternoon recording for the South Tyneside Civic Carol Concert. They all sang beautifully and we can’t wait to watch the concert, involving other schools in South Tyneside.
