This week in Year 3 we started our English work by looking at The Black Hat. In the video, we could see a small lonely boy find a mysterious black hat.
Today, we had great fun acting out the video, moving through the forest, and finding the hat. There were some super acting skills. Well done!
In Year 3 we have started our topic on Magnets. We loved exploring magnetic and non magnetic materials.
Well done Year 3!
Today has been such an emotional day, reminiscing on happy memories and saying our goodbyes.
On behalf of the Staff of Marsden, I would like to take this opportunity to express how proud we are of our Year 6 leavers. They put on a spectacular performance for their Assembly which will go down in history as one of the best shows ever. Throughout their time at Marsden they have embodied the motto “Everyone Cares, Everyone Matters” and we want to wish them well as they embark on the next chapter of their learning journey.
A special mention goes to Sadie for winning the Deputy Head Award and Lucas for winning the Head Teacher Award!
We will miss you Year 6!
Check out our amazing sand sculptures!
EYFS love our Year 6 Buddies very much and we are going to miss all the fun and support they have given us, so we made them a leaving bag. Nursery and Reception worked together to make them a card and a special keepsake. We hope they love their gifts and cherish them forever!
Good luck Year 6!
Love EYFS x
This week at Beach School, Year 4 completed a litter pick. This was our contribution to our Community Week, which our School Council asked us to get involved in.
We were horrified at the amount of litter we collected. Please remember to take your rubbish home or safely dispose of it in a bin. Let’s look after our beautiful coast!
Well done to everyone who competed today!
Today we celebrated Mrs Maddison’s 50th birthday. She shared lots of special memories from the past 50 years and she told us that her favourite era was the 80s.
We hope you have a lovely day Mrs Maddison!
Year 5 had a very interesting visit from Mr Latimer linked to our class text ‘The Explorer’. Mr Latimer talked to us about fishing and we got to see some fish and crabs, that he’d caught that day, up close. He even demonstrated how to fillet a mackerel!
It was fantastic!
Thank you, Mr Latimer
