During half term, Year One were challenged to create a map of the United Kingdom.
The children have produced some fantastic maps and I know that they will help us with our Geography work this half term.
Well done to Evie who has worked so hard to achieve one hundred home reads! She is the first person in Year One to reach 100 on our Reading Rocket and is working towards her next target of 125 home reads. Congratulations Evie!
I wonder who will be the next person to reach 100 reads!
In Year One we have been learning about non-fiction texts.
Everyone has worked very hard to create their own penguin books: collecting facts, writing information sentences and choosing photographs.
We had a fantastic afternoon for our Key Stage One Christmas party. We had lots of fun dancing, playing party games and eating party food. We were also lucky enough to have a very special visitor…
This year, Key Stage One and Year Three joined together for our Christmas production, ‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ The children were fantastic and worked so hard to learn their lines, songs and dance routines. The costumes were brilliant and the show was amazing. Well done everyone!

On Monday 13th of November we celebrated Remembrance Day. Our Year 6 held a special Remembrance Day Assembly to remember those who sacrificed our lives for us.
At lunchtime our fantastic kitchen staff made us a traditional English dinner. Yum!
Year One had a fantastic afternoon on our village walk. We looked at different types of housing and jobs in our local area. We wrapped up warm to go on our walk and had a brilliant time!
What would you like to be when you grow up?
