The Romans brought a range of herbs and vegetables to Britain way back but sausage? Yes, it was a favourite among Roman Soldiers who it is thought always carried their sausages with them and enjoyed them as a snack or as part of their meal -usually served with Garum a type of fish sauce.

Year four today tasted a range of herbs, vegetables and spices popular in Roman cooking in their attempts to make the best, most tastiest Roman Sausage.

Some of our favourites included:
Pork,basil, onion and cumin,
Pork, garlic and leek,
Pork, cumin and basil.
