Thanks to one of our lovely parents, Arthur Banks, we have a fantastic virtual tour of the Foundation Stage environment.
We would like you to share the tour with your children so they have a better understanding of what to expect in September.

As we approach the beginning of the academic year, the Foundation Stage Staff recognise that there will be a lot of nervous children (and parents!) who are unsure about returning or starting school.
With this in mind, we would like to offer you the opportunity to book a socially distanced visit to come and look around the Reception classroom and ask staff any final questions you may have. You will enter school through the staff car park and wait in the Foundation Stage garden until a member of staff brings you into the classroom where hand sanitiser will be available.
To ensure that everyone has the chance to access the day safely, time slots will be 10 minutes each. If you are unable to attend the day or have any further queries after your visit, you can contact me at [email protected]

What an unforgettable year!
Despite the unusual circumstances, we have still managed to cram in many amazing memories and so many giggles. The children have worked extremely hard and coped with lockdown fantastically well.
On behalf of all the EYFS staff, I would just like to say how proud we are of our children. Everyday, they have made us smile and it has been an absolute pleasure to watch them blossom into the amazing little super stars they are today.

I love to make patterns. You can make a pattern using almost anything! Food, cutlery, toys … the possibilities are endless. Can you tell an adult what would come next in my patterns? Can you make a pattern of your own?

In Reception this week we have made our own treasure chests. Hopefully, they’ll keep our treasure nice and safe and no sneaky pirates will steal them from us!
Last night, some sneaky pirates stole the treasure from our Foundation Stage garden! They left us a secret note and a treasure map and, with a little help from Captain Lyla, Captain Clark and Captain Edwards, we were able to use the map to find our treasure hiding in the mud kitchen.
We also had a visit from Captain Swashbuckle Franks asking for his treasure to be returned immediately! We wanted to make sure that he didn’t return so we made a special spell and lots of signs warning him to stay away.
We are having lots of fun learning about pirates in Reception. We have made our own periscopes and pirate hats and we’ve also searched for buried treasure in our garden!
I’ve loved sharing bedtime stories with you on the website and Mrs Franks has enjoyed sharing stories with her son Thomas.
