Marsden is full of amazing artists but art is all around us! Why not take a look through your own DIY frame? All you need is a piece of cardboard, perhaps from a cereal box, and cut out a shape. Then explore around you, framing beautiful scenes.
Remember you can send pictures of the nature you discover to [email protected] 😀
As some children will be returning to Marsden soon, they may be feeling nervous or unsure of what school will look like or how their day will work. To help to explain what a ‘bubble’ is, here are some resources to look at together:

Monday the 8th of June is World Oceans Day. 🌊 🐠 🦈 🐬
On World Oceans Day, people around the World celebrate and honour the ocean, which connects us all. The aim is for people to get together to start creating a better future and protect our oceans.

To celebrate the beginning of June, why not sign up to ‘The Wildlife Trusts’ 30 Day Wild Challenge?
It’s completely free and it encourages you and your family to do one wild thing a day for the whole month to support your health, well-being and for the planet. That’s 30 days of random acts of ‘wildness’!

Remember, it is important to stay safe in the sun. Below is a poster with ideas on how to stay safe in the sun. Can you make your own sun safety poster? Email them to [email protected]
Tomorrow we had planned to celebrate our annual Sports Day but for obvious reasons we are unable to go ahead with our plans.
However, instead of focusing on what we can’t do, why not turn the situation into a positive one and create your own ‘Sports Day’ at home?
You could race against members of your family, you could try and beat your own scores or you could just join in for fun!
Here are some suggested race activities:
Or you could always create your own amazing races!
Don’t forget to email your photos to [email protected].
Mr O’Brien asked the children in school to work on a project for Whitburn Church. The theme is “Hope for the Future”. As part of this task, we have been writing our hopes for the future on doves which will be displayed on the railings outside the church.
If you would like to contribute a “Hope” you can send your message to [email protected] and I will pop it on a dove for you. Alternatively, I have attached the dove template below for you to write the message on yourself.
