A special well done to our Year 3 children who passed swimming on their very first lesson!
Year 2 had a fantastic time exploring Polar Habitats. We have been finding out how Polar animals stay warm by having thick layers of fat. We tested this by wrapping one hand in fat and dipping both in freezing water to see which hand stayed warmest. It was brilliant fun!
Once again, we were blown away by the beautiful singing of Y5 and our amazing Marsden Choir! This year the theme was based on clocks and time.
Well done to all our singers and a huge thank you to Mrs Coffey for all the time and effort she put into making this event happen!
This afternoon, Year 4 had a visit from Dennis the Eagle – a South Tyneside rubbish truck which has been converted into a mobile classroom! The children completed a litter pick to learn which items were recyclable and also had a mini lesson taught onboard Dennis!
Congratulations to our belated winners!
Massive congratulations to our Lego League team who represented Marsden at the regional finals of the competition. The children were enthusiastic, engaged with the other groups and keen problem solvers.
Unfortunately we didn’t qualify for the next round but the children should be very proud of their hard work and how they conducted themselves.
Thank you to everyone for helping making World Book Day such fun!
One of the best parts of World Book Day is being able to share our love of reading with other classes.
Y2 and Y5 had a lovely afternoon discussing stories, reading and listening to each other read!
