While Miss Edwards and Miss Clark have been hiking in the mountains, Reception have worked very this week and really enjoyed making their own Supertato!
We needed to design them before we made them. Aren’t they fantastic?

To celebrate the launch of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic, two police officers came into school to teach us about what they do and how they keep our community safe. We were able to try on their helmets and they also taught us a special message to help us with stranger danger – ‘Just say NO! and never go!’
We can’t wait to find out more!
The Foundation Stage had a great time today helping Mr Wolf to make pancakes. We used a whisk to mix together eggs, flour and milk into a batter.
We watched them being flipped high up in the air before moving to the topping station. The children put their own topping on and then gobbled them up! 60 pancakes and only 1 dropped so a very successful day!
What is your favourite topping for pancakes?
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, EYFS children created their own love bugs. We were so impressed with them that we made extra and hid them in all around the school.
We hope you all have a lovely day and they made you smile!
As part of ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’, Foundation Stage have been learning about emotions. We talked about our feelings and we used our facial expressions to practice showing our emotions too.
How are you feeling today?
What a lovely time the EYFS children had sharing a book in Grandad’s Library with their family.
We can’t wait for our next sessions!
Last week the Reception children made their own Chinese drums and took them to the hall to test them out. They were so good that they woke up the Chinese Lion!
Foundation Stage had a fantastic afternoon learning how to stay safe at the beach. The lifeguards showed us their flags and talked to us about what they meant. We also got to try on their uniforms too.
Now we know how to stay safe in summer!
To end our topic of Chinese New Year, EYFS thought about the Chinese tradition of the wishing tree. People write down their wish on something red (a lucky colour) and then tie them to the wishing tree hoping they come true. We were so excited to discover we had our very own wishing tree in the garden!
We wrote down our wishes and put them on the tree. Wishes included holidays, for family to be happy and safe and some pets.
Everyone keep their fingers crossed they come true 🤞
Today the Nursery PM and 30 Hours children explored bubbles. We used material to cover cups with a hole in the top and blew into the cup. This was created a foam flame 🔥
As you can see, everyone loved this activity.
