This year, children from Year 6 have spent ‘many hours’ practicing their dancing with Miss Fowlerw.
They decided to do a dance from ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’. Their costumes, attitude, but most of all their dance moves were amazing.
They were a credit to the school and enjoyed every moment.

This morning, 46 children from Key Stage One and EYFS came to school for 8:30 to take part in our healthy living week.
They worked with Miss Gilbert to do a range of exciting work-outs!
It was an enjoyable session.
This is a poem I did when we had to write about any object using personification in writing.
The Earth’s Story
I’ve been around for donkeys, even before they were here,
I’m the oldest of everything from cats and dogs to deer!
It was nothing but fun when the animals arrived,
but with dinos and humans, I almost died,
For example, a story for you,
After that, the humans got smarter too,
They started building, cutting my trees,
I had enough so I made it all freeze,
So yes, I did, the ice age I made,
But it soon melted quick with the sun and no shade,
Lets skip a lot, 65 million years ahead,
When they still cut my trees and made paper to shred!
Factories, pollution and all this on me,
Do the humans ever think I have feelings, you see,
My lungs are getting injured, slowly day by day
I fear that soon my whole body will decay,
I hope this will change in the future, I do,
And its not just for me, you live on me too!
Now heed this saying, this call alas,
For you may end up wishing the past,
Or even a better future you’ll see,
A future for only the humans and me.

Well number SIX has made an appearance.
We can’t believe how well they are all doing and can’t wait to see if the other four eggs are ready to hatch.
The incubator is becoming a bit full, so we have moved our first three boys into the brooding box, so they can start tucking into the chicken crumbs and give the new TWO chicks a chance to get themselves sorted.
While the children slept, the eggs were still busy!
We had 2 new chick by the time we all arrived for school this morning and yes, one of them is definitely a girl!
Just as the children left school last night, our third chick made its appearance – all three are boys – we have our fingers crossed for a girl.
Yesterday the YELLOW team got their treat for winning the House Points.
They walked all of the way down to Whitburn Village and spent the morning in Cornthwaite Park, enjoying tennis, football and using the equipment. As we expected, their behaviour was amazing.
Well done Yellow team.
Well, Chick Number One was only on its own for about an hour before Chick Number Two made an appearance.
Yet to be named, but more than happy to join our family, we await the next arrival!
This year our Year 6 children have worked tiredlessly with their parents to raise money towards their residential trip to Broomley Grange.
Many local businesses donated prizes and along with the sponsored walk we made a Grand Total of:
