Broomley Grange 2016

BROOMLEY GRANGE RAFFLE

By C Marshall8th June 2016

This year our Year 6 children have worked tiredlessly with their parents to raise money towards their residential trip to Broomley Grange.

Many local businesses donated prizes and along with the sponsored walk we made a Grand Total of:

£941.97

Thank you so much to everybody for their support.

Year 6 describe Broomley

By C Marshall19th May 2016

Tonight, the children decided they wanted to reflect on the week and tell you what they have enjoyed before they get back tomorrow, so here we go….

Broomley Grange comments 2016

Climbing high in the trees really challenged me. Kacey

The best part of Broomley Grange was climbing high in the trees and on the tight-ropes. Harvey

The best thing about this week was the canoeing-it was the best thing I have ever done. Lucy

I was so surprised at how amazing the food was; I ate it all.Amelia

The best thing about this week has been overcoming my fear of heights because I climbed to the top of the climbing wall and beeped the horn to prove this.Paige

I would never have thought that I would have been able to complete the high ropes challenge in the trees; I enjoyed it so much and I am really proud. Lily Burgess

I really enjoyed everything at Broomley Grange ,especially the assault course and the food as it was delicious- extremely mouth-watering. Thank you. Kate

I had an amazing time at Broomley Grange because I faced my fear of heights and I belly-flopped into the river Tyne- I never thought that I would do that. Jasmine

I had a fantastic time doing the tree climbing as I did not like heights but now I have managed to overcome this. Ella

I never through that I would be able to fall out of a canoe and stay dry! Evie

I really enjoyed Broomley Grange and my favourite activity was canoeing on the river Tyne. I really want to come again. Peachez

My favourite activity here has been the assault course because it was exciting and a little bit scary-but I loved the food! Rachael

The best thing about this place has been the canoeing because I have never done it before and we nearly drifted away-luckily we do didn’t. Caitlyn

The best part of this week was canoeing because I have never done it before and the instructor thought that I as very good at it. Brooke

I loved the zip wire because, even though I am scared of heights I was really excited and it was so much fun. Ellie

Overall, my opinion of Broomley Grange would be amazing! The food was great, all the activities were good but finally the staff and trainers were really nice and they helped me with my phobias. It was great! Taylor

Broomley Grange is good! I really liked the assault course and the zip wire because I was a little bit nervous on the zip wire but when I got used to it, I was really good. Brian

What I enjoyed the most was the food but really I enjoyed everything so on a score of 1 to 10, it’s a 10 by far! I really think we should keep the visit to Broomley Grange because it is such good fun. I really enjoyed my week. Ben

Whoever reads this: Broomley Grange has been the best experience of my life. Yes, you do miss your parents but when you get home you can tell them all about it.
The best thing was the zip wire because you could hang upside down. I loved the archery too even though I did not score any points. Emma

This is the best place ever! The food is amazing and the food is even better. I wish I could come again. Sophie

I have had the time of my life and eaten such gorgeous food. Fraser
My favourite time was when we were bringing back trees to build shelters in Camp Skills. Everything else was really fun. Kyle

The instructors and staff of Broomley Grange said that they had never met such a polite and helpful set of children. The instructors found Marsden children supportive and very encouraging of each other when taking part in the many activities.

Well, what more can we say than: looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Broomley Grange – Day 3

By C Marshall19th May 2016

The children woke up a little tired this morning – but I guess that is only to be expected with all of the activities!

Today was a mix of Assault course, craft skills and bowling.

Everywhere the group has been , the behaviour has been commented on – they are a credit to their parents and the school.

Day Two at Broomley Grange

By C Marshall17th May 2016

Well, last night the kids were amazing – all slept…yes you read that correctly AND all woke up with smiles on their faces!!

So, today was a mixture of two activities – a fantastic and informative trip to Hexham Abbey, followed by a canoeing session up the River Tyne.

Everybody enjoyed the sunshine and learnt new and exciting skills.

By the time they returned to Broomley, they were ready for their well deserved tea.
