Nursery decided to spread the love around school by putting glittery hearts everywhere.
We hope they made the children and staff smile 😃
Beware of Spike the Blaze Dragon!
The full time children and afternoon Nursery children worked together to build the fantastic Dragon. They each created a part of his body and helped to make his head.
Over the last 6 weeks, Year Three have been taking part in Child Pedestrian Training. We have had a wonderful time and we have now learnt our Green Cross Code. I know we are now going to be super safe when crossing the road.
Well done Year Three!
The Stars today were learning about the Great Wall of China and how it was used to protect land. We decided to build our own wall, making sure it was stable enough to protect the Nursery from invaders!

The children enjoyed taking part in the traditional dance and also joined in with percussion instruments to create the beat for the creature to dance to.
Last week, Reception made the journey to Temple Park to take part in a multiskills games festival. The children had a great time and were perfect representives of Marsden.
We were so excited to have Ranger Rob from ZooLab visit our class this week. He brought his rainforest animals. We met Turbo and Shelly the giant snails, Tilly the tarantula, Harry the python, Crystal and Jade the rats, Comet the tee frog, And Fred, Matilda and Maggie the cockroaches. They were amazing and Ranger Rob told us some interesting facts about them and where they live.

Today the whole school joined in activities to celebrate Chinese New Year.
We worked together to create our own pork dumplings.
At lunchtime, the children enjoyed a Chinese feast where they could choose between chicken curry, sweet and sour pork or stir fry.
A big thank you to Iris for helping us to make them and explaining the traditions around the celebration.
