Well Done Year 2
Today the children in the Foundation Stage enjoyed a beautiful walk down to Cornthwaite Park for our sponsored event.
The children were amazing and we had several members of the public commenting on how amazing our fantastic children behaved.
Well done Everyone!
Today for our sponsored event Year 3 had a biscuit bake off. They had to make as many biscuits as possible in a day. We all worked really hard and the children really impressed me with their cooking skills!
In total we made 166 biscuits which have been donated to The People’s Kitchen in Newcastle. A huge well done!
The Reception children enjoyed a visit to South Shields Hospital on Tuesday.
Everyone had a great time.
Key Stage One had a brilliant morning doing their sponsored ‘Move a Mile!’
We ran, skipped, hopped, crawled and danced our way around the track.
We were exhausted once we had finished!
The Nursery children who stay all day had a fantastic time exploring shapes by creating their own body outlines.
The children worked together in teams, taking turns and concentrating.
Can you spot who the shapes belong to?
We have had a special day, celebrating the end of our ‘Grace Darling’ topic in Year One.
We started the day with our amazing class assembly.
We then had a special Grace Darling quiz, where we had four winning teams!
After that, we worked together to build our own lighthouses. This was very tricky!
This afternoon we walked along the coast to Souter Lighthouse. We looked at perspective and talked about the horizon. Then we produced our own sketches of the lighthouse.
Finally, we ended our day in Laura’s park.
What an amazing day it has been!
Well done to Year One who were amazing in their class assembly.
The children have had a brilliant time learning about Grace Darling and were so proud to show her story to the rest of the school.
Anais: I loved being Grace Darling because I had lots of lines to say and I had loads of fun.
Oliver: It was awesome! I loved being a storyteller and I loved learning my words!
Blossom: It was brilliant because it was really fun. I thought it was really good, especially when my Mam cried!
Louie: It was good. I liked singing.
Today Year Six visited the Urban Factory in Hebburn. They took part in ‘warm-up’ Parkour and gymnastics – and never stopped.
We all had a fun and exhausting day. Thank you!
Here are some examples of what we got up to.
