Y5 designed and built rockets based upon real life functional rockets. They needed to include build a rocket no taller than 1m, include a door and a detachable part to win the competition. Thank you to parents and grandparents from popping in and helping to create fantastic rockets!
Year 5 had an amazing morning at the Beacon of Light creating their own PE lessons.

The children showed so much creativity and thought of lovely messages to write inside of the cards.

On Wednesday 14th March, Year Six visited Safety works in Newcastle to learn about being safe when out on the streets.
They had a super time with really well-informed and engaging people who took them through scenarios to learn how to keep safe when in the home, using the Metro, shopping with friends and playing in the park. The children took part very enthusiastically and were supported by staff and parent helpers.

On Monday morning Year 3 represented our school at the Beacon of Light.
We had a brilliant time and played lots of fun games.
FYear 4 had an active morning in Sunderland.
We were lucky enough to play curling, basketball and dodgeball!
We all had so much fun.
In Year 3 we have had a brilliant day celebrating Red Nose Day! We love our new noses and had a great time designing our own red nose.
Members of Year Six carried out an investigation into dissolving of a range of materials in water. The class carried out the work very well, they were organised and then wrote up the results scientifically.

Today, we investigated states of matter and Non-Newtonion liquids. The children mixed cornflour and water in a bowl and had some fun with the slime it created!
