Y4 have had a fantastic day with numbers! In the morning, their brains were put to the test with a countdown style challenge before they logged onto TT Rockstars to try and win as many points for school as they could. Next up, they completed Buddy’s Challenge which involved code breaking, word searches and solving 2 step word problems. The class did amazingly well at solving the puzzle and found all of the missing puzzle pieces which had been hidden around the class. Then, it was time to head outdoors to complete some exercise. Not only that, the children had an arithmetic question to answer while they were catching their breath! Then in the afternoon, it was a bit more relaxed as the class completed a range of puzzles linked to shape.
On Thursday, Y4 took some chalk outside to investigate parallel and perpendicular lines. Great work!

Year 3 learnt the 8 points of a compass in Geography this week and used their knowledge to guide their group to the end of the trial. They drew a trail across the playground and used directional language to navigate their tem to the end. Super work Year 3!
Year 3 have proven themselves to be fractions experts this week! They investigated fractions of amounts using cubes and were able to confidently calculate answers and remainders. Great work Year 3!
Year 4 had a wonderful morning creating their masterpieces! They were so creative. Mrs Lawson and Mrs Wilson were also so pleased to see how kind the children were as they shared resources and helped others with their projects. Well done Y4!
- Year 6 have worked so hard to produce these amazing creations! Who will win?
Today Year 3 has lots of fun decorating their eggs for the Easter competition. ‘Eggcellent’ work Year 3!
Today years 1, 2 and 3 have taken part in cricket workshops with Whitburn Cricket Club – All Stars. They developed their throwing, catching and batting skills and thoroughly enjoyed playing new and exciting games. What a fun day!
Rosie and Jack worked together to solve this tricky fractions problem! Very impressive! Mrs Marshall was also impressed and both were rewarded with a Head Teacher’s sticker!
