Year 2 had a great time at the park for their 100% attendance treat.
Year 2 showed off their amazing talents, taking part in South Tyneside’s music festival at the Customs House. They performed Sleeping Beauty, along with four other schools, after singing their fabulous individual song ‘A Million Dreams’
It was all very exciting and there were lots of nerves but they were fantastic and I’m so proud of them all!
To celebrate Sign Language Week, Year 2, Reception and Nursery have been learning how to sign along while singing.
Let us know what you think of our amazing signing!
In Year 2 we have been learning about chocolate. We have explored where it comes from, how it is made today, and the history of it. We made and tasted the first Mayan ‘hot chocolate’ drink, chocolatl and thought it was very bitter! As a contrast, we made modern hot chocolate and this was delicious!
In Year 2, we loved our different red noses. We spent the day finding out about why we have Red Nose Day, wrote poems and information about the event, and designed new rare noses.
Year 2 had a wonderful time at the athletics event at Temple Park. They were amazing and showed super running, jumping and throwing skills. Well done!
Year One have had a brilliant morning at the KS1 Athletics Festival. We participated in a range of activities including: running, jumping, throwing and catching. We definitely worked up an appetite and couldn’t wait to get back to school for our dinner!
To celebrate National Science week, Year 2 made cornflour slime. It was messy but great fun! We were amazed it was acted like a liquid but it was a solid. How intriguing!
