Today the Year 1 and Year 2 Bubble made the most of the snow and had a brilliant time playing outside. We made snowmen and snow angels and had a fantastic time!

This week as part of our History topic we have been learning about the Wright Brothers. We were fascinated to learn about how an aeroplane was invented and loved watching the first flight.
We had great fun making our own paper aeroplanes and had a competition to see who’s plane could travel the furthest!
Dear Parents
As I am sure you will have heard, the Prime Minister announced a National Lockdown which includes the closure of Primary Schools to everyone apart from Key workers and Vulnerable children.
Due to the late timing of this announcement, I have decided that Marsden Primary School will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January 2021) to ALL pupils. This is to allow time for us to collate the information of Key workers, Vulnerable children and to organise the provision that will be in place in school. Please can I ask that you have a look at the updated link below detailing the current Key Worker list:
Tomorrow morning I will send out a questionnaire for you to complete to let us know if you are a key worker and if you would like your child to attend school. Once I have this information, i will provide a booking form which will be the same as the one we used in 2020, to allow us to know how many children will be in school each day.
For those children who will not be coming to school, remote learning will be provided. Again due to the timing of this announcement, there will be a shorter form of learning for the rest of this week which will be available by the end of tomorrow, with the higher quality remote learning from next Monday. The children have made so much progress during the Autumn Term and I appreciate how difficult home learning is, but hopefully we can support each other in the next half term.
Please be patient tomorrow and I will be in touch as soon as possible,
Kind regards
Mrs Caroline marshall
Today we celebrated the end of term with a Christmas PJ and movie day. The children enjoyed lots of Christmas activities in class and also got to watch a Christmas film this afternoon. Reception combined their Christmas party and Movie day and played some special party games in their PJs this afternoon!
We have had a fantastic day at our Year One Christmas party. We danced, played lots of games and ate delicious party food.
We were even lucky enough to receive a visit from a very special someone….
This week in Year One we have been as busy as Santa’s elves. We have been making our very own Santa’s sleighs. We started off by painting all the pieces, then we constructed them and even had time to add lights.
All of the children worked hard and we loved making them!
EYFS and Key Stage One enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner today! We had lots of yummy food including: turkey, stuffing, mash or roast potatoes, sprouts, cauliflower and carrots. Of course, we couldn’t wait to eat our amazing desserts too.
We wish we could have it again tomorrow with Key Stage Two!
Today the children took part in a Design a Christmas Jumper Competition.
Congratulations to all our winners!
Today was our annual Christingle Service and although it was a bit different to normal we had a lovely afternoon. We made Christingles, sang hymns and lit our Christingles whilst thinking about those less fortunate than us.
