Today we celebrated our Harvest Festival at Whitburn Parish Church. We had a fantastic afternoon singing Harvest songs, listening to our talented musicians and learning about the importance of plants during Harvest. We all designed a special leaf to show something that we are thankful for and these were used as part of a special prayer.
Thank you again for all of your generous donations. They will all be going to ‘Hospitality and Hope’ South Shields, where they will make a big difference to lots of peoples lives.
The vicar and congregation at Whitburn Parish Church asked me to pass on their grateful thanks to the parents and children for the many donations of food and toiletries for the charity Hospitality and Hope.
The ‘Thank-you leaves’ written by the children were appreciated and now form a huge display at the back of the church. Some of the Thank-you notes were read out on Sunday.
