Here are some activities to try starting Monday.
During these challenging times, it’s really difficult trying to find the balance with everything that is going on.
In case you are feeling worried or apprehensive about home schooling, everything on this list also counts as learning (and some will happen every day without you even realising! 😊)
🌈 Try not to put too much pressure on yourself and remember to stay safe. 🌈
Did you get any right????
Simple yet effective way to learn about money which could be easily adapted to any age.
EYFS children could use the tins to sort the coins, can you put one coin in each section? Can you put two coins in? How many coins do we have? Can you give me three coins?
Key Stage Stage 1 children could make set amounts.
Key Stage 2 children could have an amount in and workout the change they would need to give from a certain amount.
Get Counting!

Absolutely love this idea! Grab a toilet roll, a torch, cling film and some foam pictures (you can make your own pictures out of paper to use if you don’t have any in your craft box).
Put the clingfilm over one side of the toilet roll and then stick a shape on to the clingfilm. Then put the torch inside of the toilet roll at the open end. Turn out the lights and turn on your torch!
In the Hume house we decided to try out the naked egg experiment from the Year 5 Easter challenge grid and … IT WORKED!
We did have to wait 48hours for the vinegar to dissolve the egg shell but it was very interesting watching the process.
