Here is Sam T’s work from today:
Tyler has been practising his cutting skills to sort the winter and summer clothes, practised his pencil control to write over his name and he has also enjoyed playing ‘I Spy’.
Keep up the great work Tyler!
Finn has been really enjoying his learning linked to our class novel ‘The Explorer’ and our history work about the Ancient Mayans. This week, he has brought his mask design to life by building it out of Lego! It looks fantastic! He has also created this wonderful PowerPoint about Manaus, which is the town featured in our story.
Here is Jacob’s Maths and English from Wednesday:
He also completed his PE work too!
Jamie and Lucy took part in Dough Disco for their Funky Fingers activity and had lots of fun! They then completed some jigsaws and played animal matching games, where they had to spell the animal name as they turned each card over.
For Maths they used flashcards to practise their numeral recognition. Finally, they took their ice block out of the freezer and put it in the bath to watch it melt. They had lots of fun exploring the ice and helped to free the characters who were trapped inside!
Sam T has had a busy day completing his remote learning for Year 5!
This week, the children in Year 6 read Chapter 7 of their class novel ‘The Explorer’. In the chapter the children, who are stranded in the Amazon Rainforest, make pancakes from the grubs they find in cocoa pods! Mrs Watson set the children a challenge to make their own (tastier!!!) pancakes! Here is Jack making delicious pancakes served with banana and blueberries:
Jamie and Lucy have been completing lots of their ‘Gruffalo’s Child’ themed activities. They particularly enjoyed making maps of her journey and going round the house pretending to follow her footsteps.
They also found some oddly-shaped things round the house and drew round them with pens for their Funky Fingers activity.
Arthur has been working very hard on his Reception remote learning. He has watched the ‘Gruffalo’s Child’, made a list of rhyming words, completed his phonics activities, named animals using his alphabet and he’s even completed his Science experiment too!
Keep up the hard work Arthur!
