Grace from Year 5 has worked very hard on her remote learning this week.
Here is more of Skye’s work from this week:
Here is Sam T’s remote learning from today:
Well done Sam!
Rosie and Evie have had a great time at home using their new pens for their whiteboard!
They made an animal alphabet and put on a karaoke party for their Dad’s birthday 😀
Samuel has had a great time at home this week. He discussed hibernation and he knows animals go to sleep for winter as there’s not enough food. Samuel and Mam built their own ‘cave’ to hibernate in, his teddies loved it!
Samuel loves the Gruffalo books and enjoyed reading, watching, drawing and discussing the Gruffalo’s child. He loves animals so he thought of some very unusual ones for his animal alphabet. He did well with his number two and discussing pairs and cutting things in half. He has drawn a portrait of himself and also been practicing his writing of his new for his resolution. He goes out on walks everyday and Samuel likes to keep moving with dancing and running around always so no worries on making sure we do that everyday.
Samuel sings all the time all sorts of different songs but he did a special song for Me and Mrs Elliot to see.
Wow! We are super proud of you Samuel! 😀
Alexander has been working very hard from home this week!
Erin has created an excellent landscape using pointillism. She has definitely created a brilliant piece of artwork in the style of Georges Seurat.

Well done Erin.
Leon in Reception is missing school and seeing all of his friends so much! Here are a few pictures to show you what he’s been doing at home:
Last week he watched the story all about the kind hedgehog. He talked about the different animals in the story and which items of warm clothing the Hedgehog shared with them and how kind that was.
He has also enjoyed going on winter walks. It was cold…..but he loved playing with the ice and breaking up the ice in the frozen puddles.
He also found a den whilst on our walk. Just like the one the hedgehog had in the story and he put some sticks on the den to make it stronger.
After watching the children skating on Mr. Tumbles show, Leon pretended to skate around the house, making his own ice skates and attaching them to his feet using his Mammy’s hair bobbles!
This week, Leon read the story of the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo’s Child and listened out for the rhyming words. After that, he drew a picture of the Gruffalo’s Child from the book.
When Mam and Dad are at work, Leon has been kept busy with Gran and Granda. He has been practising my fine motor skills, cutting out and making dinosaurs, experimenting with play doh and completing jigsaw puzzles.
What a busy couple of weeks he has had!
Izzy from Year 5 has worked really hard on her research about Manaus, a town in the middle of the Brazilian Rainforest. The town features in the Y5/6 novel – The Explorer
Jamie and Lucy have had lots of fun with their home learning today. They had a funky fingers workout and made some funky characters for their dolls house. They both worked really hard to use their scissors to give them some interesting haircuts. Once they had shown them around the dolls house they played some number recognition games, they worked really hard on it and were very competitive!
Later on, they watched a video all about hibernation and took a quiz on Cbeebies to see if they could guess if certain animals hibernate or not; they got 5/5! After that they found all of their cuddly bears and made them each a house to hibernate in from Jamie’s junk modelling collection.
This sounds like an amazing day of learning from home!
