Understanding Autism ‘in person’ workshop for families.

After listening to feedback from some families who shared that accessing online webinars is not something they could do and that ‘in person’ events are more personal and preferred. We have decided to deliver our online webinar on ‘understanding Autism’ as an ‘in person’ workshop at the Autism Hub on Wednesday 21st May 10am – 11.30am. Certificate of attendance will be issued.

Booking is required. For further details please see the poster attached.

TTHT at the Autism Hub ongoing service offer.      _________________________________________________________________________________________

Family Support

We provide tailored pre diagnostic, throughout diagnosis and post diagnosis family support sessions either Face-to-face at the Autism Hub, or via zoom calls, emailed correspondence, or telephone calls which ever works best for each family.

We send follow up emails after all support sessions which include an overview of the conversation held and attach resources and links, strategies, advice and recommendations and if necessary, we print and post relevant resources to families.

Most importantly we are here to listen…without judgement and offer a hug and cuppa if needed.

Monthly Cuppa & Cake groups for parent/carers

All future Cuppa & Cake dates can be found on our website Autism Hub Events – The Toby Henderson Trust (ttht.co.uk) along with other events and information regarding TTHT at the Autism Hubs services.

School Consultation Service

We offer a FREE education consultation service to organisations in South Tyneside where we can arrange an appointment (1 hour) via Zoom or telephone to discuss an Autistic pupil (no diagnosis needed) and their needs. Autism Specialist Practitioners from The Toby Henderson Trust can provide advice and strategies which are tailored to that pupil, as we recognise that each child is different, requiring an individualised and unique approach.

For further details or to book please email: [email protected]

TTHT at the Autism Hub is open Monday – Wednesday 9am – 4pm.

Please be aware that we do have a voicemail service so a message can be left, and our lovely family support administrator Jay will pick it up during our working hours and return the call. We do not return missed calls.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2024

19th March 2024Chloe Reed

This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week and we are learning all about Neurodiversity throughout school.  Why not ask your child about their understanding of neurodiversity?

What is Neurodiversity Celebration Week?

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, and organisations with the opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.
