Even the rain couldn’t stop us from celebrating this special occasion!
EYFS have had a brilliant day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! We had a special party, enjoyed our picnic outside and took part in lots of jubilee activities.
This week we have had our hall transformed into the most amazing Art Gallery.
Every child contributed two pieces to the collection, consisting of a 2D creation and a 3D creation. I think we can all agree that the children have excelled themselves and should be very proud.
Thank you to all of the parents and family who came to share our children’s wonderful work.
Here is Under the Sea by our EYFS pupils, signed in British Sign Language:
“I visited your Art Gallery and was so impressed with the work the children had produced. The video of Early Years really made me smile, and it was a lovely experience to watch it underneath the tentacles of the jellyfish. I absolutely loved the Lilies by Year 5, they were so impactful. And Year 2’s designer plates would grace any table! Well done to all of the children for their hard work, and to the staff for putting on such a lovely display.” Amanda Hayward (Governor)
Here are some photographs of the event:
The EYFS children heard that Souter Lighthouse needed some help. With the weather becoming sunnier, they were I need need of some books for families to enjoy while visiting. As the children love reading so much, we knew we had to walk straight down with a selection of books.
We even managed a sneaky visit to Laura’s park on the way home! ☺️
EYFS wanted to say a big “Well Done!” To Year 6 for completing their SAT’s. We popped up with a picture for each child and a sweet treat.
We hope you enjoyed them as they were well deserved!
Nursery and Reception have had a brilliant morning in PE with ‘Little Movers’. We had lots of fun dancing, playing games and taking turns with the parachute. Well done to to Ezra and Evie who also won the the dance award.
We can’t wait for next week!
Wow, what an amazing day. The staff and children have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming family into the classroom today.
Thank you so much for the amazing feedback from family:
“Thank you, really good craft day with plenty of options of things to make, drawing, biscuit decorating etc. Children and parents all enjoyed the craft time. It was also an opportunity to mix with other parents and meet school friends. Great Fun!”
“Thank you very much. We both really loved it and we look forward to doing it again!”
“This was wonderful!”
“Fab set up with lots of choice for children to do/play and learn. Hudson loves spending time here. Thank you for everything you do!”
Thank you so much to everyone who attended our reading meeting this afternoon.

If you have any further questions, please contact Mrs Reed or Miss Kane.
EYFS shared a very emotional Mother’s Day Assembly with Mams, Grandmas and lots of other special people in our lives. What made our assembly even more special was the fact that the children wrote the script themselves so the messages were very heart-warming and personal.
The staff couldn’t be any prouder of our amazing children!
On Tuesday, Reception went on an amazing adventure to The Urban Factory. We got to learn lots of amazing gymnastics skills and had lots of fun too!
