The children in Year 6 worked really well today to create some classification keys for a selection of animals. Well done everyone.
We’ve had a brilliant day learning all about Ancient Greece at the Great North Museum.
We played a very special game of ‘I Spy’, solved the puzzle to create a timeline and we got to explore the museum too. It was a brilliant day but we’re definitely ready for a lie down now!
Have you visited the museum before?
Year Five have had great fun this week in science, exploring soluble and insoluble materials.
Year one have been remembering Queen Elizabeth II.
This week in Nursery, we have been talking all about our families. After a lovely circle time sharing photographs of our families, we wrote a list of the people in our family.
Mrs Elliott and I were incredibly impressed with the fantastic effort the children made with their first mark making activity 🙂
In Year Four we have been looking at the poem ‘School Tomorrow – Excuses for Mum’ by Joseph Coelho. We worked in small groups to learn part of the poem and added our own actions to make the poem more exciting for our listeners.
Fantastic work, Year Four!
Year 1 explored their first Science topic today- all about animals! We compared different animals, built homes for our animals, wrote about our favourite animals and even painted some of the ones we have looked at.
In Year 3 our History Topic is The Vanishing Village. We have been finding out about Old Marsden Village which was once built upon the cliffs. Yesterday we put our detective hats on and walked along to see if we could see any remains of what was once there.
Year Four showcased their excellent hockey skills in PE today.
Keep up the great work, Year Four!
