Well done to Maisie
In Year 1 we have been exploring pumpkins so we can tell Professor Klunk all about them. First we thought about what a pumpkin looks like, feels like, smells like and even tastes like. To help us do that we cut open some pumpkins to see, smell and feel them and of course we collected all the seeds out of them! We also tasted some raw pumpkin and then we made some of the pumpkin into pumpkin soup which was delicious!
We have used the words from our exploration of pumpkins to write information sentences and we then found out how pumpkins grow. To finish off our work on pumpkins, we did some pumpkin crafts.
I think Year 1 are now pumpkin experts!
This morning Year 2 performed their class assembly on “The Great Explorers” They were amazing and it was a brilliant performance.

Y6 attended the South Tyneside RAP event at South Shields Fire Station. Here they were able to meet with representatives from Tyne and Wear Fire Service, Nexus, RNLI, Bikeability and Northern Power Grid. The children heard all about how they can stay safe as they become increasingly independent and venture out and about without adults.
Meet the new Worry Monster of Marsden! The children created their own pictures of worry monsters and Mrs Potter added her creativity to make a life-size version. There’s even a bag for children to put their worries in so that the monster can take them away!
