This week in Year 2 we have been looking at Place Value. The children have been looking at different ways to represent two digit numbers. Well done Year 2!
This afternoon, we completed our first experiment in Y5 by testing materials to see if they are soluble or insoluble.
The children were surprised that oil floated to the top proving that it was insoluble in water.
The new Year 5 class have got off to a flying start this year squeezing in lots of learning and fun into our first week!
Y5/6 children were given 30 places to take part in a fun run in the lead up to The Great North Run.
The children ran a mile along the coast and represented the school fabulously. They even had the opportunity to meet Bionic from Gladiators!
Congratulations to our first group of winners of the new academic year!
Well done also goes to out Y5/6 children who completed The Great North Run for schools this morning.
Sadly, we also said farewell to Florence. She will be a huge miss around Marsden however we wish her luck in her new school.
We have had a wonderful first week back in the classroom and the children have worked extremely hard!
Yesterday morning Year 2 came into the classroom and realised a space rocket had landed in the classroom! After some careful investigations they found a letter, some suspicious yellow balls and blue slime.
We left some questions and today a new letter and a book has arrived for us to look at. Our new class text is Beegu and we are very excited to find out more about the rocket.
Please enjoy watching the memories the previous Year 4 children made during their time at Beach School!
