Year 3 were fantastic helpers today by sharing stories with the Nursery children. They used enthusiastic expression and involved the children by asking them questions about the illustrations.

Another fantastic year for World Book Day. It was lovely to see so many of the children, and staff, in their amazing costumes!
A big thank you to all of the Nursery families who joined us in our book breakfast today. It was lovely to see the children sharing stories in the fantastic Grandad’s Library.
Hopefully just the start of many more exciting events 😃
The Foundation Stage Children has a flipping good time yesterday for pancake day. We looked at the ingredients needed and then the children helped to create the batter using a whisk.
After we cooked them and of course flipped them, the children selected their own topping and applied their tool skills by using a knife to spread it on top.
The final, and best, step was to eat them.
Yesterday, the Nursery All Day children had a great time exploring bubbles. They made long bubbles by blowing through a covered bottle.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, how long is your golden hair?
This problem was posed to the Nursery Suns and they set off to find out how long her hair was using cubes. The children were fully emersed in their learning using length vocabulary such as long, longer, longest, short, shorter and shortest.
Very proud teacher!
One of the final traditions the Nursery children took part in for Chinese New Year was adding wishes the Wishing Tree.
We all thought about what we would like to wish for, wrote it down and then added them to the Wishing a Tree in the garden.
Fingers crossed they all come true!
Nursery decided to spread the love around school by putting glittery hearts everywhere.
We hope they made the children and staff smile 😃
