Gardening Club are doing a fantastic job putting their green fingers to work and weeding the flower beds. The children worked well as a team and made sure Mrs Hanratty only pulled the weeds out.
We may need to employ the Gardening Club to help out in the EYFS garden! 🙂
Yesterday, Year 5 shared their adventures in London with us. Lots of lifelong memories made and I know Year 4 are now very excited for their turn next year!
EYFS wanted to say a massive “Well Done!” To Year 6 for their mature and positivity during SAT’s Week. We made them a little good luck card by drawing something to make them smile with a poem on the back.
Then on Friday, we made the trip up to the Year 6 classroom armed with cookies for our smart cookies 🍪
We hope you liked your treats as they were well deserved.
The EYFS children enjoyed participating in a variety of different coronation themed activities yesterday. Dressed in red white and blue we made crowns, had a tea party, created decorations and many more.
Mrs Walton even had the opportunity to make cakes with the Nursery children which were the highlight of the day.
Y4 had an amazing day at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle. It started with an excellent circuit workshop where the whole class impressed Fran with their knowledge of conductors and insulators. The children then applied their knowledge by making their own torch!
After lunch, everyone enjoyed exploring the exhibits in the museum. The interactive science lab was a huge hit! Finally, as a special treat for working so hard, the children experienced a ride on the Red Arrows simulator. What a fantastic day!
Year Three had a fantastic visit to The Oriental Museum today. We found out about Egyptian clothes, tools, Gods and mummies.
We even got to see a real mummy! It smelled disgusting!!
