A spooktacular time has by all!
EYFS loved the Halloween disco, we had so much fun dressing up, dancing and playing party games.
Nursery have had a “smashing” time using the kindly donated pumpkins to practise our tool use. We put out fingers to work and hammered in nails and golf tees to our pumpkins. The best part was using the hammers to smash inside!
Today in Reception we have had a Funky Fingers morning. We have completed activities to strengthen our fingers so we can become super writers. Great work Reception!
Take a look at what we have been getting up to this half term in Year 1!
The children in Y6 were introduced to Spike Lego today by Mrs Haywood from OpenZone.
After they had successfully built their robots, the children then programmed them to show off some funky dance moves.
The children in Year 5 enjoyed exploring the technique of filtering to clean different particles out of water.
EYFS had a cheeky visitor today while Mrs Hanratty was in an important meeting, Winnie the Witch. She made potions with the children, adding in slimy snots, rabbit poo, goblin wee and other thoroughly disgusting ingredients.
Once the children said their spell and added the final ingredient, they noticed that their potion fizzed. They poured Mrs Carr and Miss Corr a drink and tricked them into drinking it. They instantly transformed into cats!!! Don’t worry though, the children uttered the magic word to turn them back into teachers.
A magical day for all!
Student Council worked really hard making and selling their Halloween treats this morning!
Well done to this week’s Child of the Week, TT Rockstar and Spelling Shed winners!
This week’s Sporting Superstars are George and Elliot!
Keep up the hard work!
