We enjoyed another open the book session this week focusing on the story of the big spender.
EYFS have enjoyed raising money for Children in Need. We designed our own Pudsey Bears, made our own Pudsey masks and added spots to Pudsey’s bandana. Our favourite was definitely the cake sale and obstacle course.
To help Year 5 with programming in computing, we were introduced to Lego Spike by Mrs Haywood. We had to build our models and then programme them to move and make sounds. It was great fun!
In science, Year 5 have been learning about different materials. We made oobleck which we found out is a very unusual material!
Year 4 are at the next stage of designing their pavilions! Today they built and reinforced the structures of their buildings!
Tonight was a special Funky Fingers because we let the children use our Kid K’nex! Nobody else in the whole school has tested our new equipment so the children had a great time trying to make different objects with the kit.
The children and staff LOVED their time on the Children in Need Obstacle Course!
Well done to all our fastest movers!
