Today we learnt all about why Shrove Tuesday is celebrated and made pancakes in preparation for the Christian celebration, Lent. We then discussed what we would give up for Lent and took part in pancake races.

Reception loved taking part in the superhero sports festival at Temple Park. They completed all the missions and defeated the super villains – great work Reception!
The Marsden Buddies are winners of a fabulous FAB Awards (Friends Against Bullying) for their fantastic work to combat bullying.
Names were put in a hat for some representatives to explain what being a buddy means to them and to receive the award on behalf of the Buddies.
We were also proud to see two ex-pupils being nominated for individual awards.
We had a lovely day with out grown ups celebrating valentines day. Thank you to all for coming!
Year 2 had a brilliant DT day! We designed and created our own fairground wheels.
Well done to Florence who has started to learn how to spell in British Sign Language! She has drawn some pictures to help her remember the different signs and can now sign her name! Check out the video below!

Two groups of the Year 6 children have taken on the role of engineer by building a car! Tools at the ready, they have used the design plan to help get on with the long process of building the car and even managed to have a test drive.
We can’t wait to see the pictures from the final group later on in the term.
