Yesterday was a very emotional but joyful day to celebrate Ms. Gilbert and all she has done for Marsden. We took a look back over her career and shared memories of her time with us.
You will be a huge miss but know that the lessons you have passed on to the children and staff at Marsden will last a lifetime.
Year started their final day at Marsden with the tradition of meeting up at the windmill and walking down together. They arrived at school and shared breakfast together. Thank you to the kitchen staff for making this possible.
A great start to the day!

A huge thank you to Miss Sutton who has given up her free time to come and help out in EYFS to further her work experience. We are very proud of our former pupil!
Congratulations to our choir, dance troop and TTRockstar winners.
This term also saw a record number of people with 100% attendance. We also had some people manage to have 100% all year!!
Wow, what a year!!!
Year 5 (now Year 6) had a groovy last day together. I want to thank each and everyone one of them for their hard work, all the laughter and for giving me the best start to teaching Year 5.
You really are a special class who I know what make a tremendous Year 6 class! ❤️
Well done to Blue Team who won our final team treat of the year. We had a lovely afternoon in Laura’s Park.
Well done Blue Team!
EYFS had a fantastic pirate day! We enjoyed a range of pirate activities but the treasure hunt was definitely a favourite!
Today, the Year 5 classroom turned itself into an Italian kitchen as we put our recipes to the test. Everybody made spaghetti bolognese but some groups added in different vegetables and we even had someone make a vegetarian version! I was very impressed at how well the children followed the health and safety rules regarding raw meat and personal hygiene.
Our new Year 5 children have had a fabulous couple of days in their new classroom; we’ve worked and danced our way through the days.
Day one involved playing get-to-know you games, doing some times tables practise, creating personalised hoodies and even competing in a Year 5 blooket quiz.
Day two saw us making our own self portraits, getting our first ukulele lesson and playing times table parachute! Of course we had to play a few extra games as well
We are going to have a great year together!
