In June our Year 6 children visited The Customs House in South Shields. They were a credit to the school and their performance was brilliant!
Well done!
Yesterday was the Y4 class assembly. The children thoroughly enjoyed performing as artists from the 20th Century and had the whole school singing and dancing along! Thank you again for coming to watch and providing some fantastic costumes! Here are some photos of our ‘legends’!
Last year all children took part in a local competition. The children were asked to either create a piece of artwork or a piece of writing about the local area. Amazingly we had 15 winners from our school who won a £10 voucher!
Hopefully we will have lots of winners again this year!

In the Foundation Stage, the children have been eagerly watching five hungry caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies. Everyone was interested in the changes that happened and were regularly checking to see which stage of their life cycle they were at.
On Monday we set them free in our sensory garden. We hope they come back to visit soon.
Thank you to Miss Bull for bringing us our new friends.
In Year Four, our recent English work has been based around a short Disney film called Feast, which features an adorable French bulldog named Winston. Imagine our delight when a real life Winston came to visit us today! I think you’ll all agree that he is just amazing! Thanks so much to Mrs Payne for bringing Dave to meet us.
The weather may have forced us to postpone Sports Day but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun. Each class took part in some indoor sporting activities.
Here are some pictures of our day.
Year 5 are loving wilderness school, they are learning many new facts about the environment in which they live. The second week we made sea creatures crawling out from the sea based on the story ‘The Fog Horn’ by Ray Bradbury and toasted marshmallows. We loved them thank you Josh!
This week they looked at wildlife living within rock pool and created their own stone sculptures. Miss Clark thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
They can’t wait to explore more next week!
