We had a fantastic afternoon for our Key Stage One Christmas party. We had lots of fun dancing, playing party games and eating party food. We were also lucky enough to have a very special visitor…
Yesterday Year 3 and Year 4 had their Christmas Party. There was lots of fun, games and dancing. Everyone had a great time!
Today Year 3 went to The Word in South Shields. As it is December, to get us in the mood for Christmas we did lots of different Christmas activities. We visited Santa’s workshop and used apps to make our creations come alive.
We all had a brilliant day!
This year, Key Stage One and Year Three joined together for our Christmas production, ‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ The children were fantastic and worked so hard to learn their lines, songs and dance routines. The costumes were brilliant and the show was amazing. Well done everyone!
Last week, the kitchen treated us to a Christmas feast. The children throughly enjoyed the dinner, as well as the staff!

On Saturday our choir had a very special job of being part of the The Barnes Christmas Fayre in Whitburn Village. Mr O’Brien, a group of Bell ringers, a drummer and our singers put together an amazing performance.
If you were unable to attend then please click on the links below to share their wonderful songs.
Today we continued our Christmas festivities by attending our school Christingle Service at Whitburn Parish Church. The children spent the morning making their own Christingles and then we walked down to the church to share a special service together. The choir sang beautifully and our readers, Matthew, Ava, Melissa and Tom, were a credit to our school. Here are some photographs from our afternoon:
On Friday we all enjoyed our annual toy fair. Once again our community were amazing and rovided so many toys for the fair. All afternoon the children enjoyed spending their money on exciting toys and then sharing them in our classrooms.
This year we managed to raise £491.43.
THANK YOU for your generosity at this very busy time of the year.
The snow has arrived! For the majority of the children in the Foundation Stage Unit it was their first experience of snow so we put on our wellies and waterproofs on to go investigate. Although each group only stayed out for 5 minutes, they gained so much from the experience by using descriptive language, discussing scientific processes such as melting and exploring something new.
What do you like to do in the snow? Let us know in the comments section below.
