Year One have had lots of fun celebrating the Royal Wedding. We have made and decorated our own crowns, made invitations to send to a friend, solved tricky wedding problems and designed our own wedding outfits.
We have had an amazing day!

Y3: Callum, Erin and Jack
Y4: Tristan, Daisy and Oscar D
Y5: Melissa, Jack and Erin

An extra mention to Oscar D from Y4 who got his speed down to under a second this week!
The Year 6’s are enjoying a hearty breakfast each morning in preparation for their SAT’s exams. We are so proud of their positive attitude.
Year 5 had a visit from Asda staff, Tracey and Mavis, who brought with them exotic fruits from around the world to link with our Bali topic. Every person in year 5 got the chance to taste a fruit they had never tasted before, including the physalis fruit, which is actually grown in Bali!
This term year 5 are studying cricket within SAFC PE lessons, they are developing basic fielding and batting skills.
Key Stage One have had a brilliant afternoon developing their football skills. We have practiced dribbling, passing and shooting and we even got to play our own games. What a brilliant afternoon!
Congratulations to these superstars who have worked extremely hard to quicken their reaction times! They are shooting up the leaderboard!!
These amazing children have broken the one second barrier to become Rock Heroes! Well done Daisy and Tristan from Y4 and Melissa from Y5!
On Wednesday 2nd May, Marsden’s Young Engineers were finally able to test drive the Greenpower Goblin kit car they had been making. The children were also trying-on crash helmets and overalls to get their correct sizes.
The children each had a test-drive around the MUGA – reaching a top speed of 20mph. They now have to design and build the bodywork and prepare for the race in July.
