Foundation Stage have had an amazing day celebrating ‘World Book Day’.
As Year 6 were in Thurston last week, we decided to celebrate World Book Day today. We have had an amazing day sharing stories with our buddies, designing story-telling chairs and having lots of fun in our costumes.
We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
This week Year 3 have written leaflets explaining ‘How to Survive the Stone Age’. They were so proud of their work that they shared the information with Year 2 and year 2 loved visiting year 3. They learnt lots of new information!
Today Year 1 visited Durham Castle as part of our ‘Once Upon A Time’ topic. We had a brilliant time exploring the castle on the morning and even had lunch in The Great Hall.
On the afternoon we had an excellent time making our own castles and even had time for a game of knock the walls down.
What an amazing afternoon!
Marley Park Fire Fighters paid us a visit in their engine and demonstrated some of their equipment. We had a turn in the engine and even sprayed the hose.
A big thank you from us all!
