This week, we have continued our Christmas crafts in Foundation Stage. We’ve made our Christmas cards, calendars and some delicious Christmas cakes too!
Today was Key Stage 2’s turn to enjoy the delicious Christmas dinner!
This week in Year One we have been as busy as Santa’s elves. We have been making our very own Santa’s sleighs. We started off by painting all the pieces, then we constructed them and even had time to add lights.
All of the children worked hard and we loved making them!
Year 5 continued the Marsden Christmas fun today and enjoyed their party day at school. All the children looked so smart and took part in a Christmas quiz and special taskmaster in class this morning. Then after lunch we played party games and ate party food in the hall. It was great!
EYFS and Key Stage One enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner today! We had lots of yummy food including: turkey, stuffing, mash or roast potatoes, sprouts, cauliflower and carrots. Of course, we couldn’t wait to eat our amazing desserts too.
We wish we could have it again tomorrow with Key Stage Two!

Every year, the children of Marsden enjoy seeing our festive Christmas Tree in the Hall.
As this year has been so different, we decided to make this tradition even more special and get two trees. Every child in the school decorated a bauble on Christmas Craft day to place on the trees. EYFS and Key Stage 1 put their baubles on the outdoor tree and Key Stage 2 put their baubles on the tree in the Hall,
The best looking trees we’ve ever had!
This year has been different in so many ways but one tradition that could not be missed was our Christmas party! We did miss the company of our Y5 friends but made up for it by having a party day instead of just an afternoon! Everybody had great fun!
Today the children took part in a Design a Christmas Jumper Competition.
