Nursery love joining in our daily rhyme time sessions. We focus on a different nursery rhyme each week. Last week, we learned how to sing “When Goldilocks went to the House of the Bears” which you listen to below.
This week we are learning “Round and Round the Garden like a Teddy Bear” but we are having fun changing the words. We loved Jasmine’s idea of “Round and Round the Zoo, like and elephant”!
EYFS had an out of this world experience in the Wonderdome! We found out all about the planets, the solar system and the sun.
Love was in the air at our Valentines Day Discos.
We loved chopping vegetables for Chinese stir fry, to celebrate Chinese New Year. We all thought it was delicious!
EYFS thoroughly enjoyed making pancakes and loved eating them even more. They helped weigh out the ingredients for the pancake batter and choose their own toppings for the top. They all agreed they were delicious!
Nursery have been making their own loose parts arrangements to create dragons to celebrate the year of the dragon! We used lots of mathematical vocabulary to describe our finished masterpieces such as long, round, short, big and pointy.
EYFS have loved making cookies this week linked to our text Astro Girl. Reception wrote instructions in Literacy and Nursery followed them brilliantly when baking. They were delicious!
The EYFS children displayed dazzling dance moves at our Christmas party this afternoon and then we had two special visitors!
Congratulations to our smallest children for a show-stopping performance of Beauty and the Beast!
We are very proud EYFS teachers!
Our last two Funky Fingers sessions were snow themed! ❄️
We used scissors to make snowflakes and exercised our funky fingers in our own homemade snow dough.
We also enjoyed a new game called washing machine with our parachute.
