On Friday our Year 6 children took part in the Sandcastle challenge at South Shields.
The weather stayed fine for them and all of the children did so well.
A wonderful day with fantastic memories.
Year 5 had an amazing day in York. They visited the railway museum, toured the city, went to the chocolate experience and played in the park!
Click on the links below to watch the workshop at the museum – even Mrs Marshall managed some science!
Miss Fyall and our netball team have had an amazing year, culminating in getting through to the South Tyneside final.
They had a great time and showed some promising talent.
WELL DONE
This year our Year 5 and 6 children are working on an Engineer programme.
On Friday morning, we had parents and children in the school hall beginning their first challenge of making a bridge.
The morning was very successful and I know when we start to make the real models, we will do very well.
Thank you for the parents who supported and to Mr O’Brien for ‘project managing’ the day.
On Wednesday morning it was the juniors turn to ‘wake up’ before school.
We had a great turn out and as you can see from the children’s faces, they had a wonderful time.
When Year Five found out they would be learning about the Egyptians, the most popular request was to be able to have a pyramid building competition! Mrs Watson set the children the task of creating one over the holidays. They could use any materials and designs they wanted to and could ask friends and family members to help. The only rule was to have fun!
We are amazed by how much effort has been put in. Here are the results of their hard work ……
