Happy 50th Birthday to Miss Walker!
Here is the Powerpoint that was shown at the Leavers’ Assembly. What cuties they were!
The staff at Marsden wanted to prepare a little surprise for Year 6. We hope they enjoyed our sketch and wanted to give you another chance to watch our “sensational” singing!
Wow, what an amazing show the Year 6 put on for their final Marsden production. It was an emotional rollercoaster with tears, laughter and most importantly fond memories.
A special congratulations go to Sarah-Ann on earning Mrs O’Brien’s last ever Deputy Head’s Award and Nicholas on earning the prestigious Head Teacher’s Award.
Congratulations Year 6, you were fantastic!
Yesterday we said goodbye to Miss Walvin. Everyone at Marsden would like to say thank you for all of her hard work and wish her all the best for the future and her impending nuptials.
We’ll miss you!
Year 4 managed to get 100% attendance every day last week!
We had planned a trip to the park, but because of the thunder and lightening, unfortunately we couldn’t go.
Instead we watched Hotel Transylvania with popcorn, juice and kitkats 📹🍫🍿.
Year 4 investigated how sound travels through solids today by creating their own string telephones.
They found out that when someone talks, this caused the cup to vibrate and that the sound energy travelled through the string to the next cup.
Year 4 had a lovely day at Sandhaven Beach creating two different sandcastles, with a theme of ‘a better world’.
One group created a sandcastle inspired by the story of Noah’s Ark.
The other group focused on how everyone should be treated equally.

Today Year 3 were very lucky and spent time with the chicks. We were very excited and loved holding them!
Today, Year Six had a visit from Show Racism the Red card, a charity organisation who aim to improve understanding of racism and prejudice. The morning was very informative and the children found out lots about acceptable and unacceptable words to use surrounding race and culture.
In the afternoon, we were lucky enough to be put through our paces by Gary Bennet (ex Sunderland AFC player) who led us in a football fitness session.
